Reverse Aging – Introduction

Reverse Ageing or slowing down the ageing process, A wise woman once said, ‘I don’t get old, I just get better!’. It is said that time makes things better. But the only thing that deteriorates with time is our quality of the skin. The process of aging is something that is natural and is avoidable. With time you will see changes in the way you look. Changes such as dark spots, wrinkles, dryness, and so on. Unknowingly we do several things that speed up this aging process. Instead of slowing it down we just give it a push. Moreover sometimes with a wish to stop it completely, we opt for ways which might completely lead to the damage of our skin.

Today I’ll be talking about this aging process and reverse aging of the skin. How to slow this process down with home remedies and how to look younger than ever. But before beginning, this article would also like to say that, Instead of hating this phase, try to embrace it. 




When we age, the topmost layer of the skin that is the epidermis begins to get thinner. This makes our skin look pale and makes the blood vessels below our skin visible. These blood vessels also become fragile, which can cause easy bruising or bleeding. During this time the fat deposited on our body also starts to thin out hence making it more fragile. Hence the changing weather conditions and the harmful UV rays start reaching the inner surface and hence causing damage.

Fine lines and aging are the earliest signs of aging. These lines began to appear during our 20s and began to deepen during the 30s. These lines are caused due to our facial expressions, like when we laugh or when we frown. 

Age spots also start to appear with photo-aging. Flat, brown spots are seen on the back of the hands, the face, arms, and feet. Mostly these spots are visible on people with lighter skin. Dry skin apart from dull and itchy skin is also a sign of skin aging.


As I mentioned above, that knowingly or unknowingly we do certain things that result in speeding up this process. Here I will mention some tested and widely used ways by people around the world to either slow down this aging process or doing the reverse aging of your skin. However, I would again like to mention that aging is a natural process. These things can just make it happen slowly.


The most widely used method is cosmetics. People tend to resort to different surgical and non-surgical ways available. Laser treatments, cool sculpting, chemical peels, plastic surgery, Botox, and so on. These ways remain one of the most popular choices when it comes to retaining youth. 

However, the negative aspect of these can be harmful if not done properly. It doesn’t need to be helpful to everyone. Moreover, these processes demand a lot of investment. Hence not a way everyone can opt for. Also, the people who are ready to resort to these methods don’t go for it without a dermatologist’s suggestion.

A cleansing, toning, and moisturizing routine is something that should be followed properly. Use sunscreen and anti-aging creams to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Apricot oil is believed by many people as a substance that reduces wrinkles. To get rid of fine lines and wrinkles use an under eye cream positively.

As for home remedies, In this pack, you can add products like aloe vera or mashed ripe banana, or raw egg white. Although we know that proper food will ensure the prevention of skin aging but other factors like skin protection and skincare also play a major role. Foods rich in vitamins and minerals will help in reversing the skin aging process in a better way.

Avocados are high in monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats. They can nourish your skin and prevent skin dryness caused due to weather changes. It also acts as an anti-inflammatory to keep your immune system functioning properly. Studies suggest that lutein and zeaxanthin in the fruit may help to protect your skin from UV damage. It is also full of vitamins A, B, C, E, and K which helps your skin to glow and look gorgeous.

☘️Stress is the factor that causes an increase in antioxidants in our body. Hence making the aging process fast. So avoid stress.

☘️ Meditation, yoga, exercise if done daily will not only provide your skin the much-required glow. But will also slow down the aging process. You can look for various yoga poses for a beautiful skin.

☘️ An adequate amount of rest is a must. Don’t you ever compromise with the time of your rest?

☘️Avoid indulgence in late-night TV or rigorous use of mobile phones. The rays emitted from these devices are really harmful. 

☘️Stay out of the sun or use sunscreen every time you step out. Protective clothing will help you from harmful sun rays and will limit your exposure.

☘️Keep a regular check with your dermatologists and try to know your skin requirements more and more. 

 I would like to say that I know with impending aging you will experience things like slowing down, grey hair, wrinkles, stiffness, and slower brain function but those are the signs that you survived. These signs should make you feel proud that in a generation where people are unable to face the reality and hence end up soon. You are the ones who made through this jungle alive. 

I won’t say that you should not do anything to slow down this process. You should be mindful of what you eat and apply to the skin, the aging process can be slowed down. Factors like exercise and supplements can help in reversing aging to a certain length. However, what you should not do is run away from this or hate this. With a hope that now you will not take aging as an alien topic and will try natural methods to slow down, it’s arrival.
