Plum Green Tea Mattifying Moisturizer Review

If you are a regular reader of our blog I hope you guys know that my last article was about the brand PLUM and the products that I have tried. The two products that I tried were Plum Green Tea Renewed Clarity Night Gel and Plum Green Tea Mattifying Moisturizer. In my last article, I gave a detailed review of the night gel. Now in this article, I’ll be reviewing the moisturizer. Hope that this review will clear your doubts regarding the product. Also before moving to the review let’s summarize the last article a bit.

PLUM

The moment I got to know about this product I was eager to try it. So I finally ordered from its green tea range. That is the night gel and mattifying moisturizer. These products are specially made for oily skin people but can be used by people with sensitive, acne-prone, combination skin. As for the brand they claim that their products are chemical-free, Free from Parabens, Phthalates, Propylene Glycol, Sodium Lauryl Sulphate (SLS), DEA, PABA, and Animal Derived Ingredients. Moreover, the products are 100% vegan, noncomedogenic, and again animal testing.

The reason that I chose their green tea range is because of the benefits of green tea. Like it is great for oily and acne-prone skin, their certified organic green tea extracts are brimming with antioxidants that retard the acne formation process and help maintain a clean and refreshed look on our face, rich in polyphenol, glycolic acid( helps in gently removing dead skin cells and keeps you healthy). As for the green tea gel I was completely satisfied with it and also recommended it for all those people who are searching for a night cream. Now moving towards the main topic of today’s article that is the Plum Green Tea Mattifying Moisturizer. Below is my review of it.

Finding a moisturizer is not at all an easy task. Questions like will it suit our skin? Is it worth the price? What about the brand? We want a moisturizer that should include everything. Like it should be in gel form, nonsticky, non-comedogenic, UV protection should be there, under our price range, paraben, and chemicals free, known brand and whatnot. However, in the case of Plum, I am to some extent satisfied with the results of their products.

◾INGREDIENTS

Aqua (Water), Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Cetearyl Alcohol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Glycerin, Glycolic Acid, PEG 400, Phenoxyethanol, Stearic Acid, Triethanolamine, Fragrance, FDA Approved Colours.

PRICE

₹450= 50ml

️▪️easily available in markets or other leading sites like Nykaa, Flipkart, Myntra, Amazon, and so on.

PACKAGING, TEXTURE, FRAGRANCE

▪️As for the packaging of the product, it comes in a plastic pump bottle which is further protected by a transparent plastic cup. This is because they wanted to protect the dispenser. The body of the bottle has full product details and an ingredients list. Moreover, it is travel friendly. This whole product came into cardboard packaging which also had details regarding the ingredients and product. You will also find a tiny note inside the cardboard box which justifies why this product should be chosen.

▪️The texture of the moisturizer as written in the title itself is creamy. If we look into details it is slightly thicker than a gel cream. When you start massaging it the texture will turn from creamy to matte. And the claim that it’s non-comedogenic is completely true for me.

▪️️A good skincare product should not have a strong fragrance and this product kept this in mind. This moisturizer has a very light and soothing fragrance. Moreover, this fragrance is not long-lasting.

Plum Green Tea Mattifying Moisturizer Review – My Experience

As I mentioned in my previous article too, I was using a Biotique moisturizer before this and was very satisfied with that too. However, that product was not meant to be used for oily skin people in summers(it made my skin more oily). That is why I shifted to Plum. Now the makers of the product claim that this is a Mattifying moisturizer, non-comedogenic, paraben-free, chemical-free, 100%vegan, suitable for acne-prone and oily skin, and so on. But there are certain things that I don’t agree with.

Yes, I agree that the product possesses many qualities that the makers claim, but the non-oily part is something I have issues with. Although the ingredients of the product are really amazing like glycolic acid, green tea, for me the results were not as I expected. It starts feeling heavy after like 3 hours max. Neither did I experience much of a glowing face after its application. I have been using this product for a month now and I am completely sure that I won’t be ordering another bottle. However, people with less oily skin can give it a try. As for me, I am a person with very oily skin.

I am completely satisfied with their Green Tea Night Gel but the moisturizer did not work well for me. Now I am planning to shift back to the brand in terms of day cream to Oriflame. The review about the same will also be posted once I am done using it. Until then stay safe, stay healthy. Till then you can read about Plum Green Tea Renewed Clarity Night Gel Review

◾Pro tip- do keep in mind that this moisturizer does not work well enough for oily skin type people. Neither will I suggest this for the people suffering from acne. However people with normal and combination skin can give it a try.
