High Blood Pressure | Causes, Symptoms, Home Remedies of High Blood Pressure
High Blood Pressure – Introduction

High Blood Pressure – Hi people! Today I am going to talk about one of the problems that I have been facing since the past two years. Also, I have heard many people talk about it and how it has been affecting their life largely. Hoping that I might be able to clear your doubts to some extent regarding the topic. The name of my topic as I have written it at the beginning itself but would like to repeat it for you people “problems caused due to fluctuating blood pressure”.
What is High Blood Pressure (BP)?
High blood pressure is dangerous for health. Because it can gradually damage all organs of the body Like Heart, kidney, brain etc. High blood pressure is like a virus. One which has affected many and is also called hypertension. Hypertension is regularly called the ‘quiet executioner’. High blood pressure rarely causes symptoms in the early stages and remains as a silent disease for a very long time.
Can fluctuating Blood Pressure be cured?
The answer is NO. The fluctuation of blood pressure is something that can cause severe damages. Maintaining normal BP is way too important. If the blood pressure is low, you may faint, and can also cause brain damage. If the blood pressure is high, It can damage the blood vessels in our brain. Both high and low blood pressures are dangerous for health. Normal blood pressure is important for normal functioning.
Can blood pressure be managed without medicines?
The answer is yes. It can be managed without medicines. But not possible in every case. Fluctuation in blood pressure is due to multiple factors, such as hormones, water content, amount of salt consumed, Kidney function, heart function and neural function. All these factors work in harmony to maintain blood pressure.

How to understand the fluctuating numbers of our blood pressure?
BP is measured using two numbers. Normal adult blood pressure Is measured as systolic (upper one) and diastolic (lower one). The difference between the two pressures is that Systolic pressure is measured when the heart is pumping, thus it’s high. Whereas diastolic is measured when the heart is relaxing, thus it’s low. Therefore, blood pressure is never zero even when the heart is relaxing.
Blood pressure is always written as systolic/diastolic for example 120/80 where 120 is systolic (when the heart is pumping) and 80 is diastolic (when the heart is relaxing). Normal diastolic blood pressure Can vary from 60 to 90 And normal systolic blood pressure can vary from 90 to 140. So, 140/90 and 90/60 both come under the category of normal. Blood pressure can fluctuate between this range (90/60 to 140/90). If your blood pressure is higher than 140/90 then it’s high BP and if it’s lower than 90/60 then it’s low BP. If your blood pressure Is higher than 140/90 most of the time, then you should get some tests done to find out the cause of your high blood pressure.
How can blood pressure cause Fatigue?
Blood-pressure meds may hinder the siphoning activity of the heart. They may push down the whole focal sensory system or in terms of diuretics, drain electrolytes that the body needs.
Regular consumption of blood pressure medicines can result in addition to more issues
Issues apart from what the person with fluctuating blood pressure is facing. Sleepiness is regularly a typical symptom of numerous drugs used to bring down circulatory strain. Pulse meds may slow the siphoning activity of the heart, on account of diuretics, the body can lose basic electrolytes. The body responds to this by creating less energy thus brings about expanded sleepiness and weakness. Unexplained sleepiness that doesn’t seem to have a reason can be due to hypertension.
Issues that I am facing due to regular medicines.
I have been taking medicines for the regulation of my circulatory strain, from the past six to seven years. However, from the last two years, I have been facing tiredness, fatigue out of nowhere. Many times, I suddenly fell prey to disease as fever and tiredness come along with it. (However, I would prefer not to!) To understand the issue better I conversed with my nervous system specialist. My gynaecologist suggested, ‘have an MRI’. I have had a pressure test and MRI and everything was ordinary.
The results were a discouragement to me. However, I never stopped thinking about it. At once I thought it might be because of my menopause but it wasn’t this. Hence, I kept my research on and finally found the results.
Circulatory strain prescription results in Fatigue
It’s imperative to remember that all prescriptions have results and that incorporates your pulse meds. The vast majority of these results disappear with time as your body acclimates to the new medicine. The most widely recognized results are:
- Hack
- Looseness of the bowels/blockage
- Wooziness or dizziness
- Erection issues
- Feeling anxious
- Feeling drained, frail, sleepy, or an absence of energy
- Cerebral pain
- Sickness or heaving
- Skin rash
- Weight reduction or addition easily
Hence consumption of more medicines can cause side effects too. Thus, the reason to all my tiredness and fatigue came out to be the only thing which was protecting me.
Instructions & Home Remedies to handle the Fatigue:
Despite the fact that fatigue can be a manifestation of hypertension but lack of rest can also be one cause. Resting 5 hours or less every night may raise the danger of hypertension. It is even said that if you are already suffering from hypertension, lack of sleep will only worsen it.
1.Decrease the amount of salt-The amount of salt that we intake can also lead to the fluctuation in our blood pressure. If the amount is more than required than it can lead to high blood pressure. This happens because salt increases the amount of sodium in our body. Due to the increased sodium decrease the diameter of our blood vessels. Moreover, due to sodium the water retention capability of our body increases. Due to this, we are not able to excrete, required amount of water in the form of urine.
2.Maintain a proper weight: Second important thing that you have to maintain is weight, according to your height and age. The amount of fat that our body gains it deposits not only on our stomach, arms, face but also on our blood vessels. The fat deposited on our blood vessels tends to form a blockage in the uniform flow of blood. Hence weight management is required. The basic and the easiest step that you can start with is, reduce the amount of sugar and fatty foods intake because they are the highest calorie-rich foods.

3.High physical activities: you have to maintain a high physical activity for your body. If you are a person who has a desk job, the amount of physical activity is utterly low. Such people need to do some extra activities to keep their body working. You can start with exercises like running, brisk walk, yoga (breathing exercises) and so on. Exercises will not only help in keeping your body moving but also will help in the easy flow of blood. Moreover, it will also decrease the blockage in your vessels. When we do respiratory exercises, they tend to increase the amount of oxygen in our body. With the increased amount of oxygen, the fat deposited will start oxidizing and as a result reduction in blockage will occur.
4.Stress management: The most important point is stress management. Because due to stress hormones are released in our body. Due to these hormones, the broader diameter of the blood vessels will become strung up. There is a very small area from which the blood has to pass and again that creates blood pressure problems.
5.Meditation: To control High Blood Pressure, I only recommend you to do meditation on a daily basis. The stress we face comes to us due to our surroundings, that is our job, people around us and so on. So, when you leave all these things and sit alone with yourself then you will become cool and calm and stress-free. So, with the help of Meditation High Blood Pressure can be reduced.
6.Midday naps: We are going to talk about the amazing beneficial effects of napping on high blood pressure. High blood pressure is a very common problem that increases the risk of heart diseases stroke and kidney failure.
A new study shows that taking a short 20 to 40-minute nap during the day helps in significantly reducing blood pressure. Taking a low blood pressure drug for example can lower your blood pressure level an average of five to seven millimetres of mercury. But a 40-minute nap if taken regularly can reduce overall blood pressure levels.

- Quit smoking:- As we all know and I repeat, smoking is awful for your lungs. It will also make us sensitive and hence easily attacked by blood pressure problems. The nicotine and tobacco smoke are a major contributor to the issue. It raises your circulatory strain and pulse, limits your supply routes and solidifies their dividers, makes your blood bound to cluster. It focuses on your heart and sets you up for a coronary failure or stroke.
8.Cutoff liquor: Drinking a glass of red wine with your supper is totally fine. It may considerably offer heart-medical advantages when done with some restraint. However, drinking an excessive amount of liquor can prompt bunches of medical problems, including hypertension.

Before going further, I just want to ask a question from you that have you seen a water motor? I’m just asking this question because it has a strong relationship with high blood pressure. The water pump is a device which helps in pumping water and is further connected to a pipe from where the pumped water is drawn. But if you press the pipe and try to stop the water flow, the water pump might burst with all the pressure. As we all know the water requires a way to go and we are stopping it. Such a process occurs in our body.
We also have a motor and different pipe in our body. The motor is our heart which is pumping the blood and the pipes which are carrying that blood to the whole body.
