It is a French brand and has created many award winning products for the sensitive skin. Today, I am going to review this skin repair cream called Avene Cicalfate Repair cream. I will tell you all about this cream and how it became a holy grail product for me and a saviour.

My experience with Avene cicalfate skin repair cream
Well , before I start about my experience with the product, I would like you to know how I got to know about this product. I am a women in early thirties, who has got highly sensitive skin. I have been facing skin issues since a long time. Since then, I have been getting to understand that how and why I m so vulnerable to skin allergies and how do I need to take care of that. This experience of mine has got me more towards learning about the skin related products.
I have been visiting one of the best dermatologist in my town, who really take a good care of my skin allergies and other skin issues. I was suffering from hormonal acnes. She was the one who introduced me to this product called Avene cicalfate skin repair cream. Trust me friends, I really thank her for recommending this product. So, it’s a dermat recommended product for me. Avene have been in this field of skin care products for a very long time. It is one of the best and most trusted brands that are used by people with sensitive skin.
How I started using it?
I was given this product by my dermat almost 4 months back, when I was going through the problem of some rashes on face, neck and chest, that were caused due to some allergen. When I bought it for the first time, I had to shell out 1200 Rs. That was like quite towards a higher price for 40 ml of quantity. Anyways, I bought it, because, I was familiar with other Avene products and I knew how good and effective they are for sensitive skin. Before I started to apply this cream, I had some small pigmentation aswel all over my face that were increasing gradually and I also had some acne marks on my face. My pores were also quite visible on cheeks.
How safe it is ?
I started to apply this thrice a day in starting as prescribed by my dermat. Initially, I did not see much changes in my face skin and it was also a slow working cream for my skin because the problem was severe. I had to take some antibiotic and antiviral medication for 5 days along with applying cicalfate and another antibacterial cream over it for few days. I got cured from it within a week. My dermat stopped my other medication and asked me to continue applying Avene Cicalfate as a regular cream twice a day after washing my face and she asked me to apply sunscreen over it. This was suggested to me as a proper regular skin care regime .
I enquired her about its safety and good and bad effects. My doctor said “ Dear, this is one of the safest and best thing I am prescribing you considering how sensitive is your skin. It will take complete care of your skin and will repair it with time with no side effects at all. You can use it for as long as you want to. The best part is that any body can apply it, be it infants , children and adults.” So, this made me confident about using it as a regular cream.
Conclusion
Friends, it has been almost 4 months now that I am using this cream. I really thank my dermatologist for recommending this cream. Because, I have felt how my sensitive itchy and bumpy skin has transformed into a smooth , clear and brighter skin. There are no visible marks on my skin and not even pores and fine lines of wrinkles. After using it for a month only, I started to see great results and my face started to look fresh and young and of course brighter and clearer. I even get complements from my friends and family for my skin which makes me happier and more confident.

- It is a bit expensive to use as a regular cream.
Will I buy it again?
Yes, definitely I will buy it again. I m still using it and I already have 3 tubes in stock. An empty one, a half used one and another new one. 😊 Avene Thermal spring water along with Avene cicalfate are my favorite sensitive skin combo and my whole family uses it.
So, for me it’s a must buy.
